“As a Black woman, I know the struggles of being marginalized, silenced, and displaced by a system that does not value our lives, our voices and our contributions. I also know the power of resilience, solidarity and action that can transform our communities and our world. That is why I am committed to helping individuals work together to help others reconnect to their roots, reclaim their spaces, uplift the forgotten voices while restoring our environment and teaching the next generation. I believe that by working together, we can right the wrongs done to marginalized groups and to the planet, and create a more just and sustainable future for ourselves and our children.”
