Rachel Bennett is the Urban Design Planner for the City of Pensacola. With a background in architecture and urban design, she is passionate about creating public spaces that are equitable, accessible, and meaningful to the communities they serve. She has worked closely with City Engineer Brad Hinote on the Hollice T. WIlliams Stormwater Park project for 2.5 years.
Rachel specializes in project and policy research, site planning, grant writing, community engagement, and project management. Her experience with the city includes participating in the MICD Just City Mayoral Fellowship alongside Mayor D.C. Reeves, managing the City’s first Equitable Development Framework Plan, and organizing the Party in the Park community event. Rachel also oversees permits within the CRA Urban Design Overlay and facilitates the weekly CRA Design Studio.
